Process-Specific Machine Design & Manufacturing

Every production line has its own unique dynamics, and off-the-shelf standard machinery often fails to eliminate specific production bottlenecks.

At idt Mechatronics, we design and build tailor-made machinery engineered to perfectly match your operational requirements, boost productivity, and minimize operator errors.

We manage the entire lifecycle completely in-house—from initial concept development to turnkey installation.

01

3D Design & Engineering (CAD)

Our project process begins with a thorough understanding of your requirements. Our mechanical engineering team creates 3D models of the machine using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Before moving into manufacturing, kinematic analysis and collision tests are performed on a digital twin. This eliminates the risk of manufacturing errors and establishes the most efficient mechanical structure.

03

Integrated Automation (The Mechatronics Approach)

This is our primary differentiator. Once mechanical manufacturing is complete, the electrical panel assembly, PLC programming, and field wiring are handled entirely in-house by our own engineers without third-party outsourcing. Developing mechanics and software under one roof results in 100% compatible, high-performance, "Plug-and-Play" systems.

02

Precision Manufacturing & Assembly

The chassis, frame, and moving parts of the approved design are machined on high-precision CNC equipment. The assembly of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components is meticulously executed by our expert technicians in our workshop. Durability and long service life are the core principles of our manufacturing process.

04

Commissioning & Training

The manufactured machine is first thoroughly tested in our workshop. It is then shipped to your factory and integrated into your production line. After comprehensive technical training is provided to your operators and maintenance personnel, the machine is handed over fully operational.

Phase 1: Concept & Design (SolidWorks): The complete mechanical motion and kinematic structure of the machine were simulated in a digital
environment to validate the
design.

Phase 2: Manufacturing & Assembly: The stainless steel chassis and precision-machined mechanical components were assembled in our workshop.

Phase 3: Automation & Testing: A servo/stepper motor infrastructure reaching a line speed of 350 mm/s and a user-friendly interface software were integrated.

1. PROJECT OBJECTIVE (THE CHALLENGE)

"To consolidate and accelerate manual, time-consuming cable preparation operations (cutting, stripping, heat-shrink tubing insertion, and coiling) on our customer's production line into a single autonomous system, achieving consistent quality."

2. OUR SOLUTION

"As the idt Mechatronics engineering team, we designed a compact station with multi-operation capabilities. The system feeds the cable from a spool, performs high-precision cutting to specified lengths, strips both ends (lead and tail), automatically applies heat-shrink tubing, and finally coils the cable ready for packaging."

3. TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENTS (PROJECT RESULTS)

Key technical advantages delivered to our customer through this project:

  • High Speed: Significant increase in production capacity with a 350 mm/s processing speed.

  • Flexibility: Full adaptability to various cable diameters thanks to interchangeable spools and driver mechanisms.

  • Precision: Sub-millimeter cutting length and stripping tolerance.

  • Full Automation: Fully hands-free operation for heat-shrink tubing application and coiling.
